Properties of blackcurrants
Blackcurrant fruits are a source of vitamins C and B1, B2, B6, PP, as well as β-Carotene (pro-vitamin A). They are rich in minerals: calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc.
Blackcurrant pectins influence the reduction of LDL levels (the “bad” cholesterol) and influence the absorption of sugar into the blood.
Due to high content of pectins, blackcurrants efficiently eliminate toxins from the body, prevent inflammations, inhibit the development of cancer, support treatment of alimentary tract diseases, support treatment of liver and kidneys, protect the walls of blood vessels, and neutralise the activity of free radicals.
